Online Safety

As parents, relatives, teachers and other adults responsible for children’s safety, we want our children and those we look after to be healthy and happy.  We want them to develop well both physically and mentally and above all, we want children to be safe.

Our children are growing up in a digital age.  There are many exciting and wonderful experiences and tools that can be found online. However, there are responsibilities and risks, just as there are in the real world.  Keeping up with the latest technology is important but it is vital that the school helps develop responsible and respectful digital citizens, who know how to minimise risks and know where to go for advice and support when needed.  A lot of Online Safety is taught through PSHE rather than Computing as much of the issues faced by young people today is about how people act, rather than the technology used.

Please look at the links below for further information on how to keep our children safe online.
